Being your wedding photographer is an honor I take seriously. After all, you’re inviting me in to be part of your celebration and trusting me with your memories.
It doesn’t hurt that those memories I get to document are chock-full of open-hearted joy and feel-it-in-your-bones love. I'm obsessed with this job. And I would love to document your story.
Warmly,
Simon
“Simon is simply the best! He is probably the NICEST human being, the most talented photographer, and is really just good company. Even our wedding guests absolutely loved him. From the start, he had the best communication, was easy to work with, and always enthusiastic and flexible.”

On one of those hikes, I ran into this darling, young couple who had literally just gotten engaged. They were giddy with emotion—so excited I could feel it. So I took a chance and asked if they wanted me to snap a few photos. After that little thirty minute session (the first time I had ever photographed a couple, by the way) I KNEW that was what I wanted to do. I fed off the energy ravenously and it sparked an immediate obsession.
I spent the next year building up my business during my off hours. Once I finally took the leap, I never looked back and have been documenting weddings ever since.
It feels inevitable that I ended up a wedding photographer, but it’s not where I started. Throw it back to what now feels like a lifetime ago, and I was in a typical corporate job—unhappy, unfulfilled and stressed. To decompress, I would go on hikes whenever I had the chance. And I had recently purchased my first camera to take with me to dabble in some landscape photography.
For most of my life, I called Asheville, NC my home. Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, there's a certain kind of energy that stays with you. Now, as my family begins a new chapter in the Hudson Valley, I’m carrying that same heart and passion for storytelling to a place filled with its own beauty. I’m grateful to still call both regions home and am available for weddings in both the Southeast and the Northeast.
I share life's adventures with my incredible wife Jaimee (who also happens to be my talented Second Photographer at most weddings!), our two spirited cats, our ridiculously sweet and endlessly charming boys, Oliver and Rome, AND we just had our baby girl, Elowyn "Winnie" not too long ago!
Giving my heart equally to my family and my couples is super important to me, so I am intentional about not over-booking my time. I only take on a select number of clients a year, so I recommend reaching out early!
I guess it shouldn’t surprise me because I’ve always enjoyed creating things. Whether it was writing short stories as a kid, making music in college, or snapping photos on my iPhone before ever picking up a professional camera. Plus, I’m a proud people-pleaser. And I’ve always been a romantic at heart. It all checks out!
I make dad jokes like it’s my (other) job. I also dance like a total dad, but it’s never stopped me.
I’ve explored 12 different countries and counting.
I always thought I was a Gryffindor, but my wife insists I’m a Slytherin.
True to being an extroverted-introvert Gemini, I love going to concerts and breweries with friends, but I equally love to lazily cozy up in bed before the sun even sets.
I attended East Carolina University, #purplegold.
I am an Enneagram Type 1: The Perfectionist. And you better believe I use my perfectionism to make your day better than you could have ever imagined.
I’m half Filipino and always jump at the opportunity to document weddings that highlight or blend different cultures.
I’m a pescatarian. But I eat gooood. I also require caffeine.
My playlist holds everything from Zach Bryan to Mac Miller to Hozier to Billie Eilish and endless other artists and genres. Also, my wife is a bit of a Swiftie so, by default, I am too.
Movies/shows that I could watch over and over include: Anything by Christopher Nolan or Adam McKay, The Office (obviously), Game of Thrones, Fixer Upper, Mad Men, and Succession.
But when I’m driving to a wedding, I’m probably rapping aloud to some hip hop or listening to a cheesy motivational podcast.
I'm an unapologetic hugger and high-fiver.
